Thang Thang Korean family restaurant

This place was quiet and dark as hell, but the food was good.

Heres Jo looking at the chalkboard right next to us. They have chalkboard painted walls in all of the booths!

Heres our appetizer. Their seafood korean pancake. Fucker was big.

Jwoww and her fishcake rice noodle soup thing.

and heres my BULGOGI!

All in all it was pretty good, a bit on the pricey side but pretty good.

Now time for some FXcamera action.

More blogs to come.

Jeong Won, should be Korean for fucking awesome.

Me and Jo went on Saturday to check this place out and man was it worth it.

All you can eat EVERYTHING. Sides, Soup, Pancakes!!

We tried basically everything on the menu, but nothing beats their Bulgogi.

Would I recommend this place? Hell yeah, I cant wait to go again.

Tick Tick Tick, Is this mic still on?

Thought I forgot about this? Nope, just been super busy.

5 Year anniversary.

Started off the day with some lunch at Gourmet India. 11 dollar buffet w/ endless Naan bread = Win.

Jo with her first plate of the day.

Then it was off to La Jolla Cove, no pics here except this...

Poor guy, I didnt realize that the cove has tons of these squirrels running around.

Then we went to yogurtworld.

All the fruits and Mochi Dough.

Then we went to Seaport Village/ Emerald Wyndham

Pretty cool, didnt take any pics of us in the elevator at Wyndham, but heres a little trivia fact for you....

On May 21st 2004 at around 9pm Joanna and I rode the elevator at Wyndham during our Semi formal at Bell all the way up to the 25th floor. With us both staring at the lit up downtown skyline I asked her to be my girlfriend, and well.. the rest is history.

Geol 100 test that I bombed, DJ clinic, UFC 96, and the come up of the fucking century.

Friday:

The Tostada Salad I ordered, this thing was huge.

Joanna with her breakfast special that she was about to put a mountain of ketchup on.

Saturday:

Random thought: Rejuvenated faith and love for my race? you betcha.

"shes the reason why that my fist is steady closed with the memory of those that we abandoned and I know she got my back "

"and they say that because I lost my native tongue that I forgot you, my heart still pumps the blood of datu lapu lapu, and i got you, and trutfully how could I not without you when the children in the belly hardly know a thing about you."

Over the past year I have realized that I have a rejuvenated love and respect towards my filipino heritiage. I just think its because I start to notice that the younger generations of filipino american youth are lacking the knowledge of their own race. I am pretty shocked when a bunch of my friends cannot understand a lick of tagalog/illocano/kapangpangan/visayan.

Just last October I hosted a workshop at this filipino american High School conference called "magkaisa" that pertained to the Filipino Americans making it big in the American Hip Hop industry. While I was teaching the kids I loved seeing the look of excitement in their faces knowing that their race is capable of doing such great things in a land like this.

Read a book and study yourself kids, Later on in your life when youre married and when you have kids you wouldnt want to look stupid in front of your offspring not knowing a thing about your heritage. There is one thing that can never be taken away from you and thats your race, remember that.

pretty cool, nephews first birthday, and open mic at green tea house.

the open mic was pretty cool, I just felt bad because they had like nobody who signed up to perform so they had to stretch the little they had. If i knew it was an open sign up for ANY kind of performances I woulda signed up. Oh well next time.

Julian Angelo Luansing-Garcia's 1st birthday.

Chill, little thing that went down in mission valley, a whole lot of toddlers rolling around and alot of mountain dew consumed.

My cousin Nestor and his girl Mary Jane, havent seen this fucker in so long.. next time youre down here again bring your girl along again so we can kick it longer yo!

A whole lot of tagalog dialogue going on behind me.. yeah I got a hat on, only because I am in deep need of a haircut.

My cousin Chins friends and my Cousin Carol in the back, dude in the black with his leg up is my old pal from Bell and Morse named Vincent.. hes starting to become a regular at our family parties, cool man as what Chappelle as Rick James would say; "ENJOY YO SELF.. AH AH AH.."

WHOOO PINNNAAAATTTAAAA!! These kids were whack though, when the thing broke they didnt even run for the candy, they just kinda walked towards and and slowly picked it up, no fun -_-

yeah and thats about it for the weekend, got a busy week coming up, tests for Soc and Geol, and a paper due for eng 220 whooooooo.
